For Cornerstone Housing for Women, the event dubbed Meet 373 Princeton is an opportunity to introduce itself to its Westboro neighbours and show them its plans for 373 Princeton, which will see the former Institute Jeanne d’Arc turned into an affordable and supportive rental housing facility for 42 women.
For you, it’s a chance to learn more about the building and enjoy food prepared by some of the city’s elite chefs — for $35! The event takes place May 4 from 6-8pm at, you guessed it, 373 Princeton Ave.
Food stations will be run by Absinthe, The Whalesbone, Savoy Brasserie, The Albion Rooms, Edgar, Maison Conroy, Coconut Lagoon, Gezellig, Thyme and Again, and Cococo Chocolatiers.
Cornerstone’s own chef, Cordon Bleu-trained Paul Skinner, will also have a station, as will Parkdale Food Centre, The Ottawa Mission, and LDHSS Ravens Culinary Program.
Beau’s has signed on to serve beer, while Savvy Company will be pouring wine.
Guests will have the opportunity to check out renderings of the project, which is being managed by Hobin Architecture and Uniform Developments. The renovations are slated to begin in July with the goal of having the first women move into 373 Princeton in the summer of 2018.
